We’re constantly looking for ways to improve our processes and product. Here’s a rundown of all the changes we’ve made in an effort to give you, our police and security partners, a better PredPol experience.
New Feature Releases
We're excited to announce that the most recent update contains our expanded analytics dashboard! Our goal is to provide you additional insight into the trends and events that impact your patrol operations. PredPol lets you access this information as simply as possible in a variety of useful formats.
Dosage/Crime Analytics
We have significantly expanded our dosage analytics. To access this new functionality, login to your PredPol site and go to your Analytics → Overview dashboard.
The dashboard now includes a graph depicting crime rate over time, split out by crime type. Each color on the graph represents a different crime type, so you can clearly see the rate of change over time. This will give you a better idea of what crime types are trending and where you need to focus more of your resources.
And now, for the first time ever, you can see how your dosage and crime rates change over time! This functionality will show you if time spent in PredPol boxes is actually affecting crime at a specific time of day and day of week.
You can also get a much more detailed breakdown of dosages by hour and by day of week. This feature will help you hold your officers accountable. See who your top performers are and where adjustments need to be made.
The details behind these views are available in a new tab in the table at the bottom of the page. For transparency, auditing, and reporting, you can also export this data as a CSV or PDF.
Expanded Email Reports
We have also significantly expanded our capabilities surrounding email reports. You can manage which reports you receive by clicking on “Profile” under your name in the upper right corner of PredPol after logging in.
The first thing you will notice is a new interface where you can add and remove different report types for each district, shift, and mission.
Prediction Box reports are the nightly reports that many departments already have emailed to them. Dosage reports are another weekly report that we offer. Our Analytics report is brand new! You can now get a weekly report of the year-to-date view of our Analytics Overview dashboard.
No matter which type of report you want, the settings are the same. Just click the blue “Add” button to subscribe and the “X” on each report you wish to unsubscribe from.
Once you've finished making your changes, click “SAVE NOW” in the bottom left corner.
